Make sure to raise fish that fit your schedule. If you will go on a holiday and would not be able to feed your fish for a while, raise fish that takes days for them to get hungry. But if you have the time, try your hand in raising “Fast Fish” to get the most bang for the buck (both in terms of XP and coins…).

If you want to level up quickly in FishVille, then this is the most important concept that you should grasp and understand fully. Without this, you would like be a lost fish in the sea. XP per hour is simply that – how much XP a fish gains for you (as the owner) per hour. There are a lot of fish offered in the game with different amounts of XP gained and different lengths of time for it to become an adult. Some give you high XP returns but takes a long time to raise. Some give you low returns but grows quickly. We will combine this 2 things to create the XP per hour concept. Let us look at an example.

Update 1:
If you are a keen observer while playing FishVille, you would have noticed that the maximum number of fish allowed in a tank is now 40 down by 10 from 50. Now, this is a huge drawback because gaining XP and leveling up fast in FishVille is greatly related to the number of fish you grow and of course its quality. We’ll just have to find better ways then to level up faster. So stay tuned.
